"Only
two things stand between a person and what they want in life; the will to
try and the faith to believe it is possible" - Rich
Devos
"Synchronicity
is defined as a non-causal but meaningful relationship between
events. More simply, we could call it a 'meaningful coincidence'
We
have all had experiences that we intuitively recognize as meaningful,
though we would be hard pressed to explain them in rational terms.
In
fact, these meaningful coincidences are not coincidences at all, but
spontaneous realizations of the underlying interconnectedness of all
things within the Universe."

Mike
Howard
Mike
is a native and life-long resident of Florida's Space Coast (Cape
Canaveral and Cocoa Beach).
He took his first photo at age 8 of the
1969 launch of Apollo 11 on its way to the moon. That's young Mike in
the yellow circle at the lower right.
That
photograph launched Mike's love affair
with the camera that led to his career as a professional
photographer. That
same rocket was carrying Astronaut Buzz Aldrin and a copy of the Prayer
for Protection which is featured in our video, just one example of
the synchronicities at work in bringing this project together.
Mike's
stunning photos are the basis for the Prayer Video. Mike also wrote
the inspired verses for the "Sails of the Spirit
Motivationals" Mike supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the National
Breast Cancer Foundation.

Bob
New
Bob
is originally from North Carolina and moved to "The Center of the
Universe" - Florida's Space Coast in 1998. Shortly
afterwards, Bob met Mike through the local Parrothead Club, as they are
both big fans of Jimmy Buffet's music.
Bob
is the co-author (with his wife Kathleen) of the book, Looking for
the Good Stuff which was the inspiration for this
website. He is also the author of an e-book on charter boat sailing
in the Virgin Islands. For more on that, visit www.HowToBareboat.com.
Bob
enlisted Mike as crew and photographer on the research trip for How
to Bareboat and as providence would have it, their trip was during
the offseason in the BVI and they were often the only boat in many of the
anchorages they visited. "It could not have been more perfect
for photographs," said Mike. "It was like being in Disney
World when it is closed." Coincidence? We don't think
so...we call them 'cosmic bread crumbs'... usually accompanied by the
"Twilight Zone" music...
Bob
supports the National Heart Association, Nourish the Children
Foundation, the National Humane Society and Unity Church.

*The
Mandorla is an ancient symbol of two circles coming together, overlapping
one another to form an almond shape in the middle. Mandorla is the Italian
word for almond. The Mandorla symbolizes the interactions and
interdependence of opposing worlds and forces. Although the symbol has its
origins before the Christian era, the early Christians used the symbol as
a method to describe the coming together of heaven and earth, between the
divine and human.
